Dr Julien Gozlan
Specialist in cataract and retinal surgery in Paris.
Dr Julien Gozlan
Holder of the European Board of Ophthalmology diploma, Dr Julien Gozlan dedicates his surgical practice to two complementary fields: cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery. He sees patients in private practice at the Paris – Auteuil Ophthalmology Practice, and performs surgery at the Clinique Ambroise Paré–Hartmann in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Two complementary specialties
Phacoemulsification with an intraocular lens tailored to the patient's visual profile: monofocal, EDOF, multifocal and/or toric.
Vitrectomy, retinal detachment, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane.
Combined cataract surgery and vitrectomy
These two areas of expertise are complementary in more ways than one. When a retinal condition is associated with cataract — epiretinal membrane, macular hole, diabetic retinopathy — it is sometimes possible to treat both conditions in a single procedure, sparing the patient a second anaesthetic and a second operation.

Furthermore, certain intraoperative complications of cataract surgery — posterior capsule rupture, nucleus drop into the vitreous — require mastery of vitreoretinal surgery to be managed under the best possible conditions. Dr. Gozlan's dual expertise ensures this management without the need to transfer the patient to another surgeon.
